Voices from an Empty Room with Megan Wilson
For this installation at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery, we presented a recording of the voices of thirty artists and arts administrators talking about the need to preserve physical space at a time when many artists and arts organizations were threatened by the rising rents and evictions coinciding with the overspeculation of cyber space.
In the window, painted in Day-Glo colors in the manner of a car dealership or supermarket, we emblazoned the legend "We Lose Space, You Lose Culture."
